Ordinary Council Meeting: March Session

The City of Perth has scheduled its Ordinary Council Meeting for Tuesday, 31 March 2026. The meeting will commence at 5:00 PM in the Council Chamber on Level 9 of Council House, located at 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth. These monthly meetings are vital to the local governance and decision-making process, covering various matters including budget approvals, urban planning, and community initiatives.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend. The session includes a designated Public Question Time, allowing residents and business owners to address the Council directly. For those unable to attend in person, the proceedings will be live-streamed via the City of Perth’s official digital channels. Agendas and relevant documents are available for review prior to the meeting to ensure transparency and community engagement.

Service Alert: Emergency Wastewater Repairs in Bull Creek

The Water Corporation has issued an urgent service alert for residents in the Bull Creek area. Emergency wastewater maintenance is currently underway on Bull Creek Drive to repair infrastructure impacted by recent weather conditions. Crews are on-site managing wastewater flows with specialized tankers to prevent further service interruptions.

As repairs progress, residents may experience ongoing impacts, including increased noise, localized odours, and additional vehicle movements in the vicinity. There is a standing request for residents to limit non-essential water use to alleviate pressure on the damaged system. Road users are advised to follow all traffic management signage and exercise caution around worksites. Repairs are described as complex and are expected to continue through the end of the month.

Traffic Advisory: Roe Street Infrastructure Works

The temporary road closure on Roe Street in Northbridge is scheduled to conclude today, 31 March 2026. This closure, which began on 23 March, was implemented to facilitate essential infrastructure works and monitored city activities. The reopening of the street is expected to restore normal traffic flow between Northbridge and the Perth CBD.

Motorists are reminded to remain vigilant as crews remove barriers and final inspections are completed. While the primary closure is ending, minor lane restrictions may persist in the immediate area as part of the City’s broader monitored activities program. Pedestrian access remains a priority, and all efforts are being made to minimize further disruption to local businesses.

Community Notice: Boorloo Heritage Festival

The Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival continues throughout late March, offering a series of cultural and historical events across the city. Following its launch on 25 March, the festival invites the public to explore Perth’s rich history through guided tours, exhibitions, and storytelling sessions. Key locations include the Perth Town Hall and various heritage sites within the CBD. These events aim to celebrate the spiritual and cultural connection of the Whadjuk people of the Nyoongar nation to the land, alongside the city's colonial and contemporary milestones.
