The City of Perth has scheduled an Agenda Briefing Session for Tuesday, 24 March 2026, commencing at 5:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber on Level 9 of Council House, located at 27 St Georges Terrace, Perth. These sessions are held on the Tuesday prior to the Ordinary Council Meeting to allow Elected Members to ask questions of the City’s administration regarding items listed on the upcoming agenda.

While no formal decisions are made during these sessions, they are open to the public. Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend or view the live stream to stay informed about proposed city developments and policy changes. Deputations from members of the public regarding specific agenda items may be heard during this time, provided they have been registered in advance with the City’s governance team.

  • Queen Street, Perth: Ongoing construction activities have resulted in a road closure scheduled from March 16 through to March 27, 2026.
  • Hackett Drive, Crawley: Partial and full closures are occurring between March 10 and March 26 to support local improvement projects.
  • Telethon Avenue, Perth: This thoroughfare remains closed as part of a long-term project spanning until August 2026.

In the City of South Perth, footpath replacement works have commenced in the Karawara laneways between Boongala Close and Kardan Circuit. These works are expected to continue for approximately four weeks, impacting pedestrian access in the immediate area.

Public Health Advisory: Measles Alert

WA Health maintains an active measles alert for the Western Australian community following several confirmed cases identified this month. Health officials urge residents to remain vigilant for symptoms, which include fever, tiredness, cough, runny nose, and sore red eyes, followed by a blotchy rash. As measles is highly infectious and can be spread through airborne droplets, the public is advised to ensure their vaccinations are up to date. Anyone who has visited potential exposure sites should monitor for symptoms for up to 18 days and contact their GP or a health clinic prior to arrival if they suspect infection.

Infrastructure and Facility Upgrades

The City of Perth Parking (CPP) department has issued notices regarding ongoing facility improvements. Maintenance is currently underway at the Elder Street car park to upgrade motorcycle parking facilities. Additionally, the City is progressing with the installation of a Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic and Battery Storage System at Goderich Street as part of its commitment to sustainable energy infrastructure. Residents near Mardalup Park are also advised that scheduled playground maintenance is continuing to ensure the safety and longevity of community equipment.
